Here are a few pictures from the cookie exchange party that I hosted yesterday. It was with my mommy and me meetup group. These cookies I made were absolutely delicious!! Rolo stuffed chocolate cookies.

Saturday was the guy’s poker night so the girls got together and hung out with the little girls. It was so much fun. Kesha made some amazing tacos and we just hung out and enjoyed watching all the girls play.

I feel so incredibly blessed to have met our new friends Kesha and Vin. They are amazing people and their friends are also amazing. I first did wonder why God brought us to Oregon. I just knew he had a plan. He sure did. Thanks to my husband and his web field he found Vin on twitter and we found out we had so much in commom. We did a blind date and met eachother at Applebees and hit it off. I am so excited for Nyla to have more friends and we are gonna have an awesome summer this year with all the little ones walking. Oregon living is starting to look up. I feel that 2010 is gonna be a good year. A new beginning.

We had a great girls night while the boys did their poker game. The girls had a blast!! I loved seeing Nyla with all her new friends. She loved it.

Happy New Year!!! It’s 2010!! We started New Year’s Eve just relaxing around the house. Then around 5pm we headed off to the Thomas’ House for their annual “Wing in the New Year” party with Kesha’s famous buffalo wings. I was a little nervous on how Nyla was gonna do being gone from home for 7 hours but she ended up doing great. She played and hung out all night until 11pm. There was some WII playing, Pass the Pig, Texas Hold’em, and chatting going on. It was a great with some new friends. 2010 is gonna be a great year, I can feel it :)

Some goals for the New Year:

-lose some more baby weight

-get myself back on a nice schedule for getting stuff done around the house

-get a haircut

-go to the spa to get a massage and just relax

-take some nice vacations out of state as a family

You can never have enough Thanksgiving dinners

We had our friends over for another Thanksgiving dinner. Josh got to try out the turkey cooking again, last year was our first time and did not go that well. Luckily our turkey turned out great. We used the turkey oven bags for our turkey this time. I saw it on a commercial and thought that it sounded like a great idea. Everything turned out really good. We watched Four Christmas’s while we were eating, it is a great movie! Nyla and Lily were so cute together. It is fun to see them growing together and being more aware of each other.

Cival War…. Go Ducks!!

We had some friends over for the Ducks verse Beavers game. I made some cupcakes decorated for the game that were delicious. Cupcakes are one of my weaknesses, luckily I try and stay away from them unless for special occasions cause I would pack on the pounds. I also picked up some hot and ready $5 pizza from Little Cesars, you can’t have a football part without it. I made Nyla a ducks bow and headband for the game which was adorable on her. The Ducks ended up winning so they are off to the rose bowl in Pasadena California. Pasadena oh how I miss you, It brings back memories of home. Well onward we go with this new Oregon life and trust in God that he has a great plan for us.
