Fun pumpkin bat Halloween craft

I found this fun Halloween craft that would be fun for kids that is super easy and doesn’t cost that much. You can use the small miniature pumpkins you get at a pumpkin patch or to use this over and over you can use fake ornamental miniature pumpkins.
You will need:

  • black acrylic paint
  • mini pumpkins
  • black and white craft foam
  • glue dots or you can just use a hot glue gun
  • black duct tape
  • tooth picks
  • wings, ears and eyes template

1. Paint the pumpkins with the black acrylic paint

2. While they are drying you can print out the wings, eyes and ears, and cut them out.

3. Put the cut out wings and ears on the black foam and trace them. Put the eye cut outs on white foam, trace and cut out.

4. Once the foam pieces are cut out you are going to have the back side up and take a small piece of black tape and tape down the toothpicks on the wings and ears. There should be enough of the skewer sticking out that it can stick deeply into pumpkin.

5. For the eyes you will take 2 glue dots or glue and put them on opposite sides on the back side of the eyes.

6. I would start putting the eyes on first, then stick down the toothpicks of the ears down into the pumpkin, then the wings into the sides of the pumpkin

There is your little pumpkin bat!!
